The power of one. The impact of many.

On November 30, 2021 United Way of Boone County will participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations through social media. #GivingTuesday falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. It kicks off the holiday giving season by galvanizing people to improve their communities and give back to the charities and causes they support.  Last year, an astonishing $2.47 billion was donated to U.S. nonprofits by a reported 34.8 million people on GivingTuesday, a 29% increase in donations compared to 2019. United Way of Boone County stands ready to keep the momentum going this year to fuel the critical community cornerstones of education, financial stability and health.

The best part about GivingTuesday? It doesn’t take a heroic effort to make an impact. Donate the $5 you would spend on a cup of coffee and it can provide meals for hungry families. A $10 app for your phone can provide food and one night’s stay for a resident at a domestic violence shelter. And the power of any amount you donate is supercharged by the collective giving that will happen on November 30th.

Help us spread the word and join us on or by November 30th to give back by making a donation to United Way of Boone County Illinois.
